Hello, and welcome to Faith is Hope – I’m Dave,
“To whom much is given, much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.” That’s Luke chapter 12 verses 48. The idea of “to whom much is given, much will be required” is that we are held responsible for what we have. If we’re blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, or whatever it’s expected that we use these talents well to glorify God, and benefit others.
So, God created the heavens and the earth, and all things there in great and small. God created all of us and gave it all to us. God gave the world his only begotten son Jesus Christ so that we can have forgiveness from sin. Jesus Christ shed his blood and gave his life so that we can have salvation. All this we have been given by God. So, what do you think God requires from us? But, didn’t Jesus tell us what is required? Three things; “You should love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your strength and with all your mind.“(Luke chapter 10 verse 27) “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Leviticus Chapter 19 verse 18) “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not the result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8
So, let me ask you this. If you love yourself first, how can you love God before everything else? If you care more about yourself, how can you love your neighbor as yourself? If you think that something that you do is greater than what Jesus did, how can you have faith in someone other than yourself? You see, this woke mentality is all about “Me, Myself, and I”. They say “I” come before all others. I do whatever makes “Me” happy. And I put “Myself” before everything and everyone else. God says, put me first in your life, put others before yourself, and put your faith in someone greater than yourself. And the world says, me, myself, and I. Jesus told us to serve others, the world tells us to serve ourselves. How can you serve God, if you only serve yourself? How can you serve others, if you serve yourself first? How can you have faith in God, if you only believe in yourself, and what you’re able to do?
Don’t you see? The world wants you to believe only in yourself. That you are more important than everyone, and everything else. The world and its leaders are corrupt and evil. They break the laws of man, they pervert the laws of nature, and they violate the laws of God. This world is filled with hate, chaos, confusion, death, and destruction. Death, destruction, chaos, confusion, hate, these are all tools of satan. And he uses them to pull us away from each other, away from the truth, and away from God. Satan wants to make each of us slaves to sin. To make us his.
Have you ever wondered why Mr. Biden, his administration, and this so-called woke, the democratic socialist democrat party is working so hard to make each of us totally dependent on the government? To make us slaves to sin, for the wages of sin is death. They’re nothing more than a mouthpiece of satan, wolves in sheep’s clothing. See, when wolves attack they look for their target, then they scatter the herd using chaos and confusion. Then they run them down, and separate the weak from the strong. And finally, they attack, and once their target is down, they devour their prey. Does any of that sound like what these woke radicals are doing?
Do you want to know why so many of these young men and women are so miserable, so hopeless? Why they feel so lost, and abandoned? It’s because they put themselves first. See, when you put God first in your life, God puts you first in his. Ask yourself, would you rather run around hoping to find what you need every day, or know that you’ll be given everything you need every day? These people have no hope, because they have no faith in anyone or anything other than themselves. The world tells people that if you don’t feel comfortable in your body that God got it wrong, and made you the wrong gender. That each of us can live our life however we want, do whatever we want and there are no consequences, because it’s your body, your choice. The world is making you god, and you’re worshiping only yourself.
The first commandment: I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. The most important commandment of all, and the world is telling us that we are god, that you can change what God has created, that you can do and live however you want, because you’re god. And God does not get punished. The world tells us that there is no God, no satan, no heaven, no hell. Are you willing to bet eternity on that?
I can tell you, that heaven is real, and hell is real. I’ve been shown both, and when you know the truth you have a responsibility to the truth. I can’t say I didn’t know, because I do know. You don’t have to believe me, you can say oh yea sure you were shown heaven and hell. But ask yourself, what do I have to gain? I know that God is, I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he was crucified for the sins of the world. He died and rose again on the third day, and now sits at the hand of God the Father until his return. I know that I am saved through the blood of Christ. So, what can I gain by telling you something that isn’t true? Nothing, but I sure have a lot to lose. God the Father has shown me the truth, and I have a responsibility to the truth. Not to myself or to what I can gain, but to God, because God is the truth.
To whom much is given, much will be required.
