Hello, and welcome to Faith is Hope,
Truth. How much truth do you see and hear coming from the world? Too big? Okay, how about how much truth do you see and hear coming from right here in America? Still too much? Alright, how about the government, the media, the education system, how much truth do you see and hear coming from them? Still too much? How about the church, and our communities, how much truth do you hear and see coming from them? How about you? How much truth do you see and hear coming from you? God is truth, and whatever is not the truth, is not of God. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” So, how much truth do you see and hear coming from you?
We are living in a world that tells us that evil is good, and God is evil. This is what satan does, he uses chaos and confusion, lies and deceit to create death and destruction. And the world, our government, our media, our education system, and even some of the churches are speaking what the world says is true, and not what God says is true. Now you can hide, you don’t have to see it or accept that this is what’s happening, and that’s okay. But I’m here to tell you that you can’t listen to the world, and God. You cannot serve two masters.
Right now we’ve all booked passage on the Titanic. It’s hit the iceberg, and the world is going down. So you have a choice to make. Are you going to be one of those who gets to a lifeboat or one of those who goes down with the ship? The world is sinking, that’s a fact, and there’s nothing any of us can do about that. But we don’t have to sink with it. In John chapter 5 verse 19 “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” And in James chapter 4 verse 4 “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity (opposes or hostile) with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend to the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
None of us can accept a lie, and accept God. I’m not much for mixing words. If a person steals from you then that person is a thief. If a person doesn’t tell the truth, the whole truth, then that person is a liar. Fact; no one can change their gender. They can change their looks, and they can deceive themselves and others, but deception is a lie. No one can call murder healthcare. Abortion is murder, not healthcare. You can tell half the truth by calling it healthcare because it’s done by a doctor, but it’s still murder. And that’s a fact. That’s the truth.
I’ve got to ask, how long do you think the people on the Titanic thought that boat would stay afloat? The Titanic was said to be unsinkable. Yet it sank, in two hours and twenty minutes, the Titanic was gone. How long do you think this world will survive without its creator, without God? God breathed life into each of us. How long can you survive without air? Jesus said in John chapter 4 verse 14 “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” So how long do you think you can survive without water? God gives us our daily bread, how long can you survive without food? None of us can survive without God. And this world cannot survive without God.
We all hear people saying that time is running out. Or repent for the end is at hand. I have a friend that told me that we shouldn’t say that time is running out because none of us knows exactly how much time we have. And, that’s true, none of us knows the exact moment of our death. You can exercise every day, live a healthy life, and be killed on your way to the store. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. We have now, and in the very next second our life could be over. So, is time running out? Not for God. God holds time in the palm of his hand, and God holds us in the palm of his hand. With God, time never runs out. But for those who are not being held in the palm of God’s hand, yes time is running out.
So, are you going to get in the lifeboat (Jesus), or are you going to go down with the world? Two hours and twenty minutes was all the time the passengers had to decide if they were going to live or die, physically and spiritually. Just two hours and twenty minutes. The clock is ticking.
