What is a Prophet?
Well, some people think that a prophet is someone who can see into the future. Someone who can accurately predict coming events, like Nostradamus, but was he really a prophet? A prophet, a true prophet is a messenger of God, and they deliver God’s message, not their own. They don’t need to look into bowls of water with ink in it or gaze into some crystal ball. And they sure don’t need drugs. In Numbers chapter 12 starting at verse 4, And suddenly the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.” And the three of them came out. And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. And he said, “Hear my words; If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision, I speak with him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. With him, I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles.
Now I don’t call myself, or think of myself as a prophet. I’m a messenger. I don’t have a message of my own, but God’s message is: “I AM”. “I AM” the Alpha. “I AM” the Omega, God is the first and the last, “I AM”. And there is no other before me. So why does the world put everything, and itself before God? Because satan whose influence covers the earth, tried to put himself before God. And he still is, only now, satan is doing it through us.
I am a witness to God. I have felt His Love, His Mercy, and Grace. I’ve witnessed His power – God has shown me things that are to come in visions and dreams. I don’t need a crystal ball, a bowl of water, or drugs to witness God, or to receive his message, none of us do. God chose me, and I chose to listen to God, to receive God. I don’t know why God chose to heal me. Or why God shows me the things that he does. I’m not special. I’m not some bible scholar. I haven’t spent my life in service to God. As a matter of fact, I spent a great deal of my life hating God. I blamed him for all the pain and suffering my mom and family had to go through at the hands of an alcoholic stepdad. I hated God, I cursed him. I would hurt people just because they called themselves Christian. There is no way I deserved anything from God. I mean think about it. Would you give someone who hated you, who hurt you, a gift like God gave me?
So why did God do it? Why does God give any of us anything? Because God has always wanted us to be a part of him. To be with him. When God created Adam and Eve, they lived in his presence, they walked with God in the Garden of Eden. They spoke directly to God and God spoke directly to them. But satan divided Adam and Eve from God through sin. Light and dark cannot exist in the same place at the same time. And God and sin cannot exist in the same place at the same time. But because God still wants us to be a part of him, he sent the world his Son, Jesus Christ. So that we can be reunited with him through Christ. But that’s not what Satan wants. Satan wants to divide us from God, and from each other. That way believers can’t influence non-believers.
And that’s why governments, especially our current United States government, work so hard to separate us the way it does. We’re separated by the color of our skin, why? What does the color of your skin have to do with what God created you to be? We’re separated by our gender. Our faith. Good is bad, and bad is good. If you’re straight you’re vilified. And if you’re gay you’re revered. The truth of God has become evil, and the lies and deceit of the world have become the truth. But that’s what satan wants. He wants us divided from God, with lies, and deceit, sexual perversions, pedophilia, homosexuality. The murdering of God’s unborn children, rape, assault, theft, all of it separates us from God. What is the definition of hell? To be separated from God.
Look, God is not Burger King, you don’t get to have him your way. You can’t be a part of God and Satan. And there’s only one way to come to the Father, and that is through Jesus. In John 14 verse 6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” There’s that “I AM” again, I am the way, that’s a hint in case you missed it. You have to come to Christ, admit that you’re not perfect and that you’ve sinned, and that you’re truly sorry for the things that you’ve done. Then just accept Christ’s forgiveness, accept his gift of salvation, and accept being a part of God again. But, be warned satan is going to do everything he can to keep you from doing that. He’s going to shame you, embarrass you, attack you, physically, mentally, spiritually, and he’ll attack your family too. If he can make you feel guilty about something, he’s gonna do it.
But, isn’t that what’s going on in the world right now? I mean what happens if you don’t accept the belief that the world is going to end in five or ten years because of the climate? What happens to people who don’t accept the idea that people can somehow change their gender and that men competing with women, showering with young girls, and women is wrong? What happens if you don’t believe that America is systematically racist and that the laws and law enforcement is oppressive to people of color? I’ll tell you what happens, you’re attacked, verbally, physically, economically, and even in our schools and colleges. If you for whatever reason refuse to bow down at the altar of hate and deceit, you’re going to be attacked, canceled, labeled a racist, homophobic, transphobic, or who knows whatever else.
Satan uses guilt, shame, fear, and emotions to pull us away from the truth. If you’re afraid to stand up for the truth, and you have the “Go along to get along” mentality, you know, things like, it’s nothing, or It doesn’t affect me. If Satan can get you to become indifferent to sin, to evil, then he’s won Because he’s destroying God’s place in the world. He’s destroying you and me. Remember God and evil (satan) can’t be in the same place at the same time. So if you’re indifferent to sin, to evil, then there’s no place in you for God, because God isn’t indifferent to it.
Look, satan’s influence is everywhere in the world, but if you’ve accepted Christ, truly accepted him, then even though you’re in this world, you’re no longer of the world. We’re all born of water into this world, that’s our first birth. But, when you’re reborn of the spirit, you stop being of the world and become new in God.
Wars have come and gone. Plagues have come and gone. Starvation, earthquakes, droughts, floods they’ve all come and gone. And they will all come again. Now, you can fear what the earth can do to your body for a short time. Or, you can fear what God can do to your soul for an eternity. Forever is such a really long time. The world is collapsing beneath the weight of evil. Governments are collapsing beneath the weight of corruption. Society is collapsing beneath the weight of sexual perversions, and immorality. We, okay, each of us right now needs Jesus so much. But the world is pulling, and pushing us further from God.
You can follow God and live eternally with God. Or you can follow the world, and live eternity in hell, separated from God. God is, and Jesus Christ is coming again. And that’s something that the world and satan don’t want you to know.
